6-Week Ladies’ Fitness & Self-Defense Series

Ladies, join us for an awesome Fitness and Self-Defense series at The Stronghold! Our goal is to equip you to learn practical Self-Defense techniques, improve situational awareness, and also teach you some basic workouts you can continue at home. This series is recommended for Ages 12 and up. $88 covers 6 weeks of classes, beginning July 12 and ending August 16. Grab a family member or friend to join you for our beginner-friendly sessions! Uniform not required. 1-Hour Sessions include: 30 minutes of Fitness Instruction/Strength & Conditioning 30 minutes of Self-Defense About the instructor: Born and raised in San Diego, Raquel Cusi (@StrongholdMom) first started Jiu Jitsu in 2005 in response to assaults that occurred to 2 ladies in the same week: one at her alma mater, Cal State San Marcos, and one at San Diego State University. She now has the privilege of owning The Stronghold with her family in Point Loma, San Diego. As a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Purple Belt under Roy Harris, her vision is to teach Jiu Jitsu and Self-Defense alongside her kids and share her love of the Martial Art with other families in San Diego. She has 4 children of her own: a son (10 years), and 3 daughters (8, 6, 3), all who have started training at the age of 2. Her hope is to also encourage and empower ladies of all ages to be introduced to basic Self-Defense techniques and to gain an understanding of other Jiu Jitsu fundamentals.
