Diversity & Inclusion: Best Practices from Sempra Energy

How can you help take your Diversity & Inclusion efforts to new heights? Learn from the team behind Sempra Energy’s award-winning D&I programs   Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) programs depend on all areas of an organization to support and promote them. These conversations sometimes have to walk a fine line. Play down the issues and you’re accused of not caring, but talk too much about them and it seems like you’re just “doing diversity” to improve the company image.   So how can we as communications professionals bring real value to D&I efforts, both internally and externally? How can we meaningfully integrate these important efforts and messages into what we do in our daily work? And how can we partner across our organization – and beyond – to ensure that we’re truly walking our talk?   Sempra Energy is widely recognized as a D&I leader, earning top honors such as “Best Places to Work for LBGTQ Equality,” “National Organization on Disability/Learning Disability Employer,” “DiversityInc Top 5 Utilities,” the “Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index,” and many more.   Join us on Friday morning, July 12, to hear from Sempra’s esteemed D&I team about: their variety of programs that enhance diversity of thought and inclusivity in the workplace, what they consider to be the hallmarks of an effective D&I program, and what you can apply at your own company or organization that will start making a difference today. The price of your ticket includes breakfast. Lower price for IABC/SD members. Take advantage of Early Bird pricing, which ends June 30!   About our Speakers: MyMy Lu is the manager of Diversity & Inclusion at Sempra Energy.
