    This American Heart Association approved course is recommended for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other life-saving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. This course covers the basic life support curriculum for adults, children and infants. As well as chocking management for all ages, use of an AED, and airway management. This video-based, instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills in both pre-hospital and in-hospital settings.     This two-day course is recommended for emergency medical responders, nurses, physicians, and physicians’ assistants. The course meets from 8 AM to 4:30 PM on both days. This onsite course covers a wide variety of traumatic emergency recognition and treatments. Certification is valid for four years and is accredited through NAEMT. Students will gain essential knowledge and skills in the following areas: identification of mechanism of injury, identifying life-threatening injuries and the related pathophysiology, rapid and detailed trauma assessment techniques, airway management and ventilation, rapid extrication, spinal immobilization, traumatic brain injuries, burns, mass casualty incidents, and pediatric trauma management.
