Normandy Jump 2019 Screening - Saturday

Please join us for the special showing of the first in a series of documentaries commemorating the 75th anniversary of D-Day. The Normandy Jump 2019 series will feature Coronado, CA native Tom Rice who was a WWII paratrooper attached to the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division when he parachuted behind enemy lines on June 6, 1944. Tom went back to Normandy in June 2019 and this documentary begins the journey he took to get there.  This event is sponsored by Honor Flight San Diego and Normandy Jump 2019. Honor Flight San Diego is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and all ticket sales and donations are tax deductible to the maximum extent possible. Proceeds from this fundraiser will directly support WWII and Korea War veterans to go to Washington, D.C. in October 2019 to visit the memorials built for their service and sacrifice. Proceeds will also support Normandy Jump 2019 as they fund Tom Rice's trip back to Normandy in 2020 to jump with his WWII 101st Airborne brother.  Timeline: 9:15 am - Doors open for "Jumpmaster" ticket holders 9:15-10:15 am - VIP reception for "Jumpmaster" ticket holders, includes food and beverage and preferred seating 10:15 am - Doors open for "GI" and "Paratrooper" ticket holders  10:45 am - Documentary intro then showing 11:45 am - Moderated panel discussion with Director Mark Vizcarra and Producer CJ Machado and WWII Paratrooper Tom Rice 12:15 pm - Screening concludes, get your limited edition program autographed by Tom Rice While waiting in line or after the show, get your picture taken with a replica of the door from the C-47 plane Tom Rice jumped from!
