There is nothing quite like a group working over a natural dye vat together..We have so much fun while learning the process and pattern making of this ancient Japanese dying tradition. The workshop includes all materials 4 20"x20" 100% hemmed cotton dinner napkins for creating individual patterns, many forms to apply patterns, wood blocks square and round ,clamps,cording.poles,rubber bands. I will be teaching a basic understanding of achieving many effects and understanding the natural dyeing. Beside the natural rich indigo I will also bring other indigenent Mexican dye colors to demonstrate and experiment with. Additional haboti silk scarves will be available for purchase at $5 for 8" x 54 and $10 for 11" x 60" one can bring up to 1/2 yard of their own natural fiber fabric as well.
