The YMCA CRS Foster Child Care Bridge Program is providing a series of learning opportunities to assist providers in fostering a greater understanding of trauma-informed care and child traumatic stress. The principles of a trauma-informed approach and trauma-specific interventions are designed to address the consequences of trauma in the child, learn how to develop caring relationships with young children with histories of trauma and facilitate healing and resiliency. Session 2: Impact and Responses to Trauma Participants will learn the emotional and physical long-term impact of trauma on a child’s brain development and behavior. By increasing your understanding behind trauma, caregivers will learn how to develop responses that build connection, healing and support a child’s healthy emotional development. For optimum benefit we recommended you attend this training series in session order.  Please register for each training separately.  Upcoming session:  Session 3: Responsive Relationships from a Trauma-Informed Approach on March 24th, 2020 For additional information please email mytraining@ymca.org Join the ECE Workforce Registry at www.caregistry.org The California (CA) Early Care and Education (ECE) Workforce Registry is a web-based system designed to track and promote the employment, training, and education accomplishments of the early care and education ECE teachers and providers. **Approved for SD CARES Professional Development Hours**
